Laurie’s Pressed Salad


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cabbage (red or green or a combination) sliced very thin

  • 1/2 medium onion (red or yellow or a combination) sliced very thin

  • 1/2 cucumbers sliced very thin

  • 1 carrot grated

  • 2-3 radishes grated

  • 1 tsp sea salt

Directions

  1. Combine all these colorful veggies with the salt.

  2. Put in salad press or a container where you can top them with a plate.

  3. Turn the salad press until it’s nice and tightly pressed or put a heavy weight on top of the plate to press the vegetables.

  4. Wait for a at least 3 hours to enjoy. Serve as a side, in a sandwich, or as a stand-alone salad.
